CWB, AISC, AWS, and CSA Standards in Steel Detailing
How standards-aware detailing works across North American projects without making false certification claims.

Standards depend on project jurisdiction and scope.
North American steel projects can reference AISC, AWS, CSA, CISC, CWB-related requirements, RCSC, ASTM, ACI, CRSI, and project-specific specifications. The right standard language depends on location, contract documents, engineer-of-record direction, and fabrication requirements.
Fabricators Clinic is associated with AISC as an associate/detailing member and uses standards-aware detailing language carefully. The website does not claim CWB certification or AISC fabricator certification.
What this means in practice.
Standards-aware detailing means drawing notes, weld and bolt references, material assumptions, revision coordination, and review comments are handled with project requirements in mind. The detailer still follows the contract documents and asks questions when a requirement is missing or unclear.
